1. About Us
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ForFolksSake Essentials website and the purchase of products from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
ForFolksSake Essentials is a trading division of Home and Hope Pty Ltd (ABN: 59 700 073 294), registered in Queensland, Australia. Our registered address is 2/290 Boundary Street, Spring Hill QLD 4000.
2. Products
At ForFolksSake Essentials, we are committed to sourcing our products from Australian suppliers and manufacturing in Australia wherever possible. While we make every effort to keep our supply chain local, some components or materials may be sourced internationally where no suitable Australian alternative exists. We are transparent about this commitment and continue to work toward increasing our Australian made content over time.
Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided in good faith and are as accurate as possible. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products without notice.
Our Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) products are sold for general purpose cleaning and industrial use only. They are not intended for human consumption or therapeutic use. Please read all product labels and safety data sheets carefully before use.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time of purchase.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment must be received in full before orders are dispatched.
4. Orders
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that all information provided is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where products are unavailable, where we suspect fraudulent activity, or where errors exist in pricing or product information.
An order confirmation email will be sent upon successful placement of your order. This does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance occurs when your order is dispatched.
5. Shipping and Delivery
We ship Australia wide. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by Australia Post or any third party courier service.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on parcel weight, dimensions, and delivery destination. Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery.
Some of our products may be classified as Dangerous Goods and are shipped in compliance with Australia Post and all relevant dangerous goods transport regulations. Where applicable, product listings will indicate any special handling, storage, or shipping requirements. Please read all product information carefully before ordering.
6. Returns and Refunds
Our returns and refunds policy is governed by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the ACL that cannot be lawfully excluded.
Under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for its stated purpose, or does not match its description. In such cases, we will assess your claim and offer a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate depending on the nature and severity of the fault.
Change of mind returns are not accepted. We strongly encourage customers to read all product descriptions, labels, and safety information carefully before purchasing.
Due to the nature of our products, including chemical and cleaning solutions, we are unable to accept returns of any product that has been opened, used, or tampered with, unless the product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied by us.
To lodge a return or refund request, please contact us at hello@forfolkssake.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order. Your request must include your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs where applicable. We reserve the right to assess each claim on a case by case basis before approving any remedy.
Where a return is approved, the product must be returned in its original, sealed, and undamaged packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied by us. We recommend using a tracked shipping service as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.
Refunds, where approved, will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned product.
7. Our Giving Commitment
ForFolksSake Essentials commits to directing 50% of net profits to grassroots organisations in Australia that support people experiencing homelessness. This commitment is made in good faith and is reported transparently on our website. The specific organisations supported may change over time at our discretion.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website including text, images, logos, graphics, and brand assets are the intellectual property of Home and Hope Pty Ltd and are protected under Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Home and Hope Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product in question.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Product Safety
Certain products sold by ForFolksSake Essentials, including our IPA range, are classified as flammable liquids and must be handled, stored, and used in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provided. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children. We accept no liability for misuse of our products.
11. Privacy
Your personal information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website or purchase of our products after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
